Antibes on the French Riviera
Located on the French Riviera and midway between Nice and Cannes, the multi-faceted town of Antibes Juan les Pins is an easy resort to reach from Nice airport. Antibes and Juan-les Pins are located on each side of the Cap d’Antibes peninsula with Antibes being sheltered from the westerly winds. You can easily travel between the two resorts by use of the land train.
Antibes has the largest pleasure boat port in Europe, Port Vauban and Juan les Pins is famous for it’s Jazz jazz festival. Antibes is also a centre for the industrial production of flowers. Roses, carnations, tulips, fruit and vegetables are all cultivated here. The old town is very picturesque and the Picasso museum can be found here.
The Cap d’Antibes is an exclusive area and also a nature haven. You will also find the magnificent Eden Roc Hotel here. The beaches at Juan les Pins stretch for miles and are made up of sand. There are public beaches but as usual along this part of the coast, most are private and you will need to pay to access the beaches. At the Cap d’Antibes, La Baie de la Garoupe has charming little beaches although again, most of them are private.
With such a large port at Antibes, why not hire a boat and enjoy the Riviera in a relaxing way without having to worry about travelling by car or public transport.
