The fort was built on the orders of the French King Henry II in 1550 to fortify the town.  It was updated by the military engineer Vaubon and nowadays you can have a guided tour of the fort.

Cathedral

Rue de la Paroisse

The Cathedral was built on the site of a temple dedicated to Diana and has a 17th century Baroque nave.

La Garoupe sanctuary and lighthouse

La Garoupe chapel houses a collection of votive objects and the lighthouse is open to visitors most afternoons.
